Whether you choose to stay in the historical town of Lamu and savour the ultimate cultural experience, or stay within walking distance of the beach in Shela Village or at one of the remote beach prosperitie in the area, Lamu Homes & Safaris will offer you advice on a wide range of accomodation options. All private houses are available for rent on self catering basis inclusive of house staff and cook. Full Board options are available on request. Bedding, towels and mosquito nets are provided. Fresh fish and seafood are bought from local fishermen who deliver directly to your door.

Mnarani means 'near the minaret' in Kiswahili. Very good views of the sea from upstairs. 3 Double bedrooms ensuite upstairs, 1 Double ensuite on the ground floor and 1 ?open? single room without bathroom upstairs. Rooftop sitting area overlooking the sea

Jasmine House (8-10 People in 4 Doubles and 1 Twin, 4 Bathrooms) Shela Village

Located in central Shela Village, about 5 minutes walk to Shela Beach. Master bedroom en-suite, with king-size bed, sitting area and terrace. First floor twin-bedded and double-bedded rooms sharing bathroom Annex wing with 2 double bedrooms both ensuite, 1 upstairs overlooking the pool garden.

Beach House (8-10 People in 4 Doubles and 1 Family room) Shela Beach

A large, cool house with four double and one triple, ensuite bedrooms, all with spectacular sea views and terraces. Panoramicviews of the whole Lamu Channel from the rooftop bar and sitting area.

Palm House (6-8 People in 3 Double and 1 Twin Rooms) Shela Village

Palm House sits between Shela House and the sand dunes. All bedrooms ensuite with private balconies. Panoramic view from the covered rooftop, with a bar, sun beds, and baraza lounging area. A couple of minutes walk down to the beach.

The Pool House, (3-4 People in 2 Double Rooms) Lamu Town

Situated in the old part of Lamu town, 5 minutes walk from the town centre. A complex of buildings surrounding 3 courtyards filled with fragrant tropical trees and plants. 2 self-contained buildings, each with a double bedroom, dressing room, full bathroom and roof terrace.

Kizingoni House, (4 Double Bedrooms ensuite) Kizingoni Beach, Lamu Island

Situated on Kizingoni Beach, at the Southern tip of Lamu Island. Wild, untouched sea shore and sand dunes. Remote and peaceful, it is a 20 minute boat ride from Lamu town. 4 Doubles en-suite with private balcony.

Wazi Dubu House (10 People) Kizingoni Beach, Lamu Island

Situated at the Southern tip of Lamu Island in 24 acres of beachfront. Offers seclusion, cooling winds, fresh water and clean seas. Lamu and Shela are a 20 minute boat ride away.

Jahazi House (10 People) Kizingoni Beach, Lamu Island

Jahazi House stands right on the edge of the Indian Ocean. Jahazi has a distinctly Moroccan feel, an arched inner court yard pool cooling the 4 ground floor bedrooms. The master bedroom opens onto a covered roof terrace allowing one to relax and enjoy the passing dhows.

Baobab House (4-6 People in 3 Double rooms ensuite) Manda Beach, Manda Island

Situated on Manda Beach on an acre of beachfront property with five large ancient indigenous baobab and acacia trees providing plenty of shade. Large open veranda, a hanging swing bed and dining under a thatched palm roof. Bedrooms have ocean views and are ensuite.
