On the outskirts of Nakuru lies an exceptional national park that has achieved international fame as an animal sanctuary, with animals such as the Rothschild giraffe, black and white rhino and a fair share of buffalo, leopard, wild dog, zebra, eland and many others. Situated in the midst of this wonderland is the lake Nakuru lodge, an oasis of comfort and excellent service.

Lake Nakuru Lodge is only two hours drive from Nairobi through some of the most exciting scenery beheld anywhere in Africa. The Nairobi-Nakuru road gives the visitor an unrivalled view of the majestic Rift Valley, winding through a series of lakes and forested uplands all the way to the hectic market town of Nakuru.

The lodge blends exquisitely with the surroundings, and has commanding views of the lesser and greater flamingo and pelicans which bestow Lake Nakuru its fame, attracting visitors from all over the world. Animals often browse peacefully close to the lodge and its environs much to the fascination of the visitors.

The chalet accomodates upto 180 people in family rooms, cottages and suites. Service is first-rate due to friendly, competent staff; there is remarkable cuisine that entails outside catering, bush barbecues, African nights and sundowners.

Being a member of the 'Friends of Lake Nakuru', the lodge is committed to protecting the environment from the many threats facing it, by education and public awareness, pollution, ecotourism, and nature friendly excursions. Other fun activities available are horseback safari excursions, game drives, bird watching and plant identification.

The spacious logged Mama Nikki bar, cool Rhino Paddock cocktail bar, which overlooks the lake and enticing swimming pool, are inviting. Evening entertainment and slideshows for guests are varied. The Hippo pool at the Baharini Springs is an excellent spot for picnics.
